Esther Brinkmann (聂耳琪文)
瑞士珠宝首饰设计师, 1953 出生于瑞士巴登 ( Baden (CH)) , 创立瑞士日内瓦应用艺术高等学校珠宝首饰设计系 , 自 05 年开始旅居于广州,继续她的珠宝艺术创作, 08 年 5 月,在扉艺廊举办的 “Not for your body only —— 瑞士珠宝设计师 Esther Brinkmann 个展 ” 是她在中国的首次展览。中国的经历给 Esther 的设计带来影响 —— “Red Face (红脸谱) ” 胸针运用了中国红,记录下她在中国见到的千千万万张不同的面孔, “ 肠 ” 链坠的灵感来自佛说,肠是怜惜与爱恋的化身,它们被尊奉为佛教的八大宝物之一,或佛祖的八大器官之一。它们代表着永远解不开的节,也是疏通无上富足之所。

Esther Brinkmann
Esther Brinkmann, a Swiss jewelry designer, was b orn in Baden (CH) , Switzerland, 1953. She is the founder of jewelry design department in Application Art Academy in Geneva Switzerland. Esther has been living and working in Guangzhou since 2005. In May of 2008, “Not for your body only—Esther Brinkmann’s Solo Exhibition” held in Fei Gallery was her debut exhibition in China. Her experiences in China influence her design deeply--- “Red Face” brooch applied the color of Chinese red, recording thousands of faces she met in China. The inspiration of “Chang (intestines)” originates from Buddhism. “Chang” is the symbol of compassion and affection which are also reverenced of either treasures of Buddhism, or eight precious organs of Buddha. They symbolically represent a knot that can never be untwined. Chang has the office of receiving and forwarding abundance.
Her works are part of the private and public collections in the following institutes: Swiss Genevese Museum of Clocks & Watches, and Porcelain Enamel, Swiss Federation Culture Bureau, Modern Design and Arts Museum of Lausanne, State Applied Arts Museum of Bern, Switzerland, National Contemporary Art Foundation of France, and Applied Arts Museum of Paris, France.
