X –axis and Y-axis build up the coordinates. A point and a group of number find each orientation on space. They link together as a shape or a group of curve. It’s quite an interest. And today we are not describing a group of numbers or points, but a group of young artists with outstanding characteristics. They build up a coordinates of art. And to shape up a special group with a core of 08’ Sep made from the point of their own works. This is SEPTEMBER COORDINATES the youth modern art art exhibition.

Foreword
08的9月,竖起一座青年的艺术坐标
——《九月坐标》当代青年艺术展
X轴、Y轴交汇成坐标,然后一个点或一组数在这里找到了各自的空间定位,他们连成一个图形或一组曲线,趣味十分。然而今天,我们所要描述的不是一组数、一组点,是一群有着鲜明个性的青年艺术家,他们竖起一座艺术的坐标,以自己的作品为点,形成以08年9月为中心的空间群体,这就是“九月坐标”当代青年艺术展。

九月坐标竖起,形成了4个分隔间。
一、 以历史变化为关注点的隔间:
曹建明的《建筑材料 时间与空间》将建筑材料史解剖,灌注成“奇彩旋”冰棒般的立柱,水泥材料的高高在上,是对它历史地位如此坚固的肯定,抑或是在欲滴的液态下由表至内地侵蚀着地球,发人深思。黄明以黑白电视机为素材的《怀安村档案No.1》,将怀安村——典型的中国农村变化付诸于电鱼车,每踩一次,出现的是沉沉重重的历史回忆。另外一件反映城中村作品的《Delete南亭村》,作者黄进趁着城中村未被完全埋没之时,捡来几块青砖,几袋水泥,青砖被delete,水泥enter,正是当代中国城中村的命运写照。

二、以社会热点关注形成的隔间:
《对遗忘的昨天无能》作者郑龙新将5.12事件比喻冰块,赤裸裸地揭示随着时间的消逝,人类本能的遗忘,这个重大事件始终会融化在过去的记忆里,归于平静。关注社会残障群体的苗倍榕,在老师的鼓励下深入聋哑学校做探访调查,临走时孩子们在黑板上一句句粉笔留言,促使她创作了这件作品《《请开启这扇虚掩的窗》。牟旻昊幽默地展现《疯狂宝石》,灯光下闪烁夺目的它来自今天环保时代的抗拒品——塑料,这种方便快捷的物料如今成众矢之的,是它的错吗?同样具有反讽意识的作品来自刘洁宇的《女厕》,华丽的水钻沟渠,精美的刺绣“爱的表白”,典型的“厕所文化”是否该是光鲜文明的大都市所有?而在《OFFFICE》里的胖大鼠和瘦子小鼠是否就是在大都市中匆匆忙碌的办公一族的写照?劳动创作财富,是否富有了劳动者?

三、以存在关系为讨论的隔间:
空间关系的讨论者中占研关注人与地球的关系,静坐在朝正东方的椅子上,冥想《471.89米/秒》的前进速度,物体自身不断运动的物理现象正是他所要点明的,而这不也正是人与人之间的“潜现象”吗? 时间关系探讨者吕昕昱所做的《无字之碑》并未将中国文化冲刷,这是崇尚传统的女子对屹立世界的国家表达她新的诠释方式。 专注于研究纤维材料运用的蓝天,创作《竹雨》时给柔弱的棉线赋予力量,在竹片间穿沿的它们成为“雨”的介质,是掷地有力的、不可忽视的。 敏感两性关系的罗中炽,巧克力制成的生殖器官甜点,是甜?带着苦?暧昧不清。注重亲情关系的是另外两位作者:在数字化的今天,杨平东好奇与父亲的距离是否只是简单的1985-1952,结果发现,他们父子的距离相距了20多万个身份证号码,代与沟,是填不平的宿命因果。 也是第二位作者周晓楠所要述说的故事,奶奶坚韧、善良的一生随着这位女孩的一点一点思绪,幻化成随风轻曳的花藤倒影,成为女孩心中永不抹去的美丽记忆。

四、以自身为对象的隔间:
《捆绑的蛋》作者李莎莎表达的正是作为当今年轻一代生于此时此地的困惑,置身在任何一个角落,依然会被不自觉地捆绑,如何打破线性框架,仍做思考。 同样对自身充满焦虑的是马景仁创作的《2.52立方的忧伤夜晚》,在铁丝的不断重复缠绕中,青年的烦躁似乎渐渐消退,然而,长年倚靠的座椅仍旧无法落定,如思绪满绕的心情一般找不到肯定的时候。
九月坐标竖起,凝聚出不同的思考角度点,从这点出发,我们且看且行,等着这帮青年艺术家走出多彩的延伸射线。


September of 2008 Raise a Coordinates of Youth
--SEPTEMBER COORDINATES The Youth Modern Art Exhibition

And today we are not describing a group of numbers or points, but a group of young artists with outstanding characteristics. They build up a coordinates of art. And to shape up a special group with a core of 08’ Sep made from the point of their own works. This is SEPTEMBER COORDINATES the youth modern art art exhibition.
The raise of September coordinates spaces 4 parts:
1. Focus on Transformation of History
a) ARCHITECTURE MATERIAL TIME and SPACE by Cao Jian Ming anatomize the history of architecture material. Perfuse colorful spin and ice-lolly-like pole. The concrete standing on-top is the positive to history. The drop from surface to inside implies the earth in change. Huai An village File No.1 by Huang MING is made by B/W television. The car filled of fishes symblolizes Huai’An village which presents the typical change of Chinese country. Every step appears the reminiscence. Another piece reflected village in city is DELETE NAN TING VILLAGE. Its author Jin HUANG picks up few pieces of green brick and packs of concrete, the green brick was “deleted”, concrete “enters”. This is the exact portrait of modern Chinese village in city.
2. Focus on Social Hotline
DISABILITY TO OBLIVIOUS YESTERDAY by LongXin ZHENG images the 5.12 event as ice that nakedly revealed the forgotten of human instinct with the passage of time. This important event will be eventually melted in the past memories and back to the calm. With professor’s encouragement, BeiRong MIAO who concerning about the disabled community goes to the school for the Deaf and Mute and makes an investigation. The messages children left on the blackboard as her leaving make her create this work—PLEASE OPEN THIS HALF CLOSED WINDOW. MinHao MU humorously shows THE CRAZY GEM. The glint and dazzling work with light is made of plastic which is the resistant material nowadays in such an environmentally times. This convenient and efficient material becomes the target of criticism. Is it his fault? Meantime a work of anti-irony comes from FEMALE RESTROOM by JieYu LIU. The gorgeous stone ditch and exquisite embroidery of EXPRESSION of LOVE. Whether the typical restroom culture is the bright civilized metropolis all about? And whether the fat big rat and thin mouse in OFFICE picture the burry officer in metropolis? Labor create wealth but whether rich the laborers?
3. Focus on Discuss of Existence
Yan ZHAN who is concerned about the relationship of human and earth sits on the chair towards to the east, meditate the forward speed of "471.89 meters / second," It’s the physical phenomena of the movement by object itself that he aims to points out, and isn’t it the interpersonal "hidden phenomenon"?The discussant on time relation YuXin LV presents MONUMENT WITHOUT WORD doesn’t scour the Chinese culture but present a uphold traditional woman expressing on her approach to the countries worldwide. Focused on the fiber material, Tian LAN powers the effeminate cotton thread on creating RAIN of BAMBOO. Through bamboo the cotton thread turns into the media of “rain” which is powerful and cannot be ignored. ZhongChi LUO is sensitive to gender relations. The genitals made of chocolate are sweet or bitter? It’s vague. Another two authors focus on family relation: in the digital nowadays, PingDong YANG is curious about whether the distance between father is simply year of 1985 to 1952. However he found there is more than 20 million ID number gap. The generation and gap is the fate causation never cross. Also, the other author XiaoNan ZHOU tells the story that is a wind ight reflection from paper flowers with girl’s feeling to her grandmother’s presistence and kindness to life. And it becomes the beautiful memory never erased.
4. Focus on author itself
BUNDLING EGGS by ShaSha LI expresses the puzzles at this present times as the young generation. It’s still tied up unconsciously in wherever corner. How to break the linear frame with thinking. Similarly JingRen MA who is full of self-anxious creates THE BLUE NIGHT IN 2.52 CUBIC METERS. Winded by the steel wires, the fidgety of youth seems to fadeaway with time. However the seat relied on for years havent settled yet as the moon and feelling haven’t got unwound.
September coordinates raises and unites the different points of view. From this point, let’s look forward to these young artists to draw out the colorful extended-ray.

每一年的九月,年轻的气息开始蓬发,是一个新学年的到来,是一层成长阶梯的踏进。九月,作为扉艺廊专注年轻力量的季节,今年延续07年的“新寓言”展览,继续向社会揭开时下青年艺术家的创作状态,推出“九月坐标”当代青年艺术展。本次展览将艺术视野投向材料研究的装置及多媒体作品中,系因为我们相信——搞艺术,不论形式,贵在坚持!
Every year in September, the young breaths out. That is an new arrival of academic year, a step up to the growth ladder. September, as a season of young power focused by FeiYi Gallery continues the New Fable exhibition from 2007 to reveal the creation condition of present young artists to the community and launchs SEPTEMBER COORDINATES The Youth Modern Art Exhibition. This exhibition will eyes on the Installation of materials researches and multimedia works from art vision. We believe that dedicated to art in anyway, it’s all about persistance!
